Suzanne Somers passed away yesterday at the age of 76. I will forever be grateful to Suzanne for being one of the first guests on Thirty Minute Mentors. She played the quintessential ditz on Three’s Company but was the exact opposite in real life. She was dynamic, smart, thoughtful, vulnerable, raw, open, warm, funny, and talkative to say the least… everything you’d want from a podcast guest, but also everything you’d want from anyone in your life. Suzanne overcame significant obstacles to reach the pinnacle of success as an actress, an author, and an entrepreneur. In our podcast interview, Suzanne opened up about the highs and lows of her journey, including how she bounced back from growing up in an abusive home, from cancer, and from getting fired from Three’s Company. She shared insights on anti-aging, how to reinvent yourself, and how to win in business and in life. Suzanne was the same person on air and off air – gracious with her time, her charisma, and her thoughts. An icon and a trailblazer, Suzanne was a leader to listen to.
